Oh my, O Peperino is GF and Delish

Writer: RachaelRachael

We had a lot of gluten free pizza during our recent trip to Italy. O Peperino was the first pizza we tried and it was also one of our favorites. The chef is very dedicated to providing gluten free offerings, having completed the AIC course and developing her own non-contamination techniques within the restaurant. Indy felt very safe dining here. The menu was well marked and like many places in Italy, it was easy to be celiac without missing out on deliciousness.

Where is this place? O Peperino is located in the Porta Garibaldi neighborhood of Milan very close to an Eataly store, which also has a number of Italian gluten free delicacies.

When did we go? November 2024

What’s good? Despite being extremely jet lagged when we dined at O Peperino, our meal was fantastic. We sampled two of the pizzas and both were fantastic with a bubbly crust that closely mimics gluten-containing pizza.

Toast’s opinion? Toast was welcome in every place we visited in Italy during our November/December 2024 trip and this place was no exception. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor spaces.

Verdict: O Peperino provides amazing gluten free pizza in a space that is safe for celiacs.
